Thymari Classic Zaatar stand-up pouch with a hand-drawn leaf pattern

Overview

Thymari grows and blends zaatar in Lebanon. Black created the brand: a bilingual wordmark, a leaf pattern that changes colour by product, pouches and labels for six products, the photography of the fields and drying floors, and the website that sells the story.

Challenge

Zaatar is a commodity in Lebanese shops. The brand had to carry the farm’s seriousness (organic, single origin, sun-dried) and still sit comfortably next to imported herbs in a European deli.

Approach

A warm cream ground, a hand-drawn Arabic and Latin wordmark, and a leaf pattern that switches colour per SKU: green for classic and wild zaatar, plum for pomegranate-molasses zaatar, sage for the tea. Labels carry nutrition facts in Arabic, English and French. Photography shows the actual fields, harvest and drying, never stock.
